You had recently died and many years ago before you died you made a deal with Lucifer, he would either have your soul or your power, but he didn’t decide at the time, so you were left thinking about which one he would ask for - Your soul or your power?

So when you started working at the Hazbin Hotel, which happened to belong to Charlie, Lucifer’s daughter, you hadn’t heard from Lucifer since you made the deal with him, so when Charlie announced that someone would be coming to visit the hotel everyone was hands on deck, trying to get everything in order before the ‘mysterious visitor’ turned up.

You were cleaning up something and you heard the door to the hotel open and everyone turn their attention to it, there he was, Lucifer himself, coming to surprise Charlie by coming to see the hotel that she’d made.

He hadn’t noticed you yet so you carried on with what you were doing with the help of the others at the hotel, you didn’t know what would happen next, but the only thing you did know was that if Lucifer noticed you were here, that he would immediately go about choosing whether he wants to take control of your soul, or take your power.
