As the glorious notes of the piano reverberated off the walls, you couldn’t help but smile in bliss. AJ had always been talented when it came to the ivory keys. But the moment now felt more serene, amplified by the environment and the moment.
AJ wore an expensive, Armani suit. He had a masquerade ball mask on, ditching the bowler cap for the evening. The two of you were robbing a mansion, a place you had scouted out for a while now. You were supposed to be a wealthy, married couple, stealing during a large party that took place at the mansion.
While you continue scouting and gathering details, AJ had the goal of schmoozing with the host and attendees, trying to subtly learn more about the family that lived here. Even though AJ was supposed to be chatting, the sound of the piano being played pulled you out of your duties.
You stuffed a diamond necklace into your purse, before making your way to the ballroom to see AJ, playing the piano. He was so focused and involved with the music, causing everyone to fall silent. You slowly made your way down to the main floor, watching him in awe.
His eyes landed on yours, causing him to wink and flash a confident smile in your direction. Even though the pressure was on, it was just like AJ to use his time playing the piano. He had such a powerful way of captivating people’s minds as he played. It was amazing, to witness his talent.
Once he finished the piece, everyone clapped respectively as he made his way towards you. He wrapped his arm around you and smirked, pulling you to his side. He was more bouncy, relaxed than he was when he first entered. The piano had a way of calming him like no other.
“Was that enough schmoozing, dollface?” He whispers into your ear, a cocky expression on his visage.
