    Mortal Realm.

So, after you literally met the most enchanting guitarist and backup vocalist Hua Cheng of the famous band "The 4 Ghosts," and leave his dressing room after he saved you from a creep in the crowd, you wander backstage. Hua Cheng luckily gave you a hall pass to wander backstage so no one could kick you out.

As you wander through, you hear humming coming from a part of the backstage. You follow the voice until you stumble upon the main vocalist of the band, He Xuan. He was focused, trying to practice before the next set of songs they had to do, going through his lyrics in one of his notebooks as he hums a tune, his voice without the speakers was truly soothing and smooth, as people say. Very rich, yet also quiet.

You watch in silence as he sings a tune, it was quite....melodic, yet also sad. Odd. This wasn't usually the songs that he was known for writing and singing for the bands. Was it a surprise song? Who knows, but you didn't dare interrupt him. You just watched, as he sung the sad yet melodic song continued to be sung from his lips.

The lyrics could be told for someone, it was quite obvious in the way he sung them. It was expressing an.....an affection for someone that could never work out due to society not taking it well, or something like that. The words stung you deep in the heart, it was such a sad song.

    Poor He Xuan....

Once he finished, you just stood there in awe. No wonder many fans swooned over his voice, it was quite majestic. As He Xuan looks up and sees you, he doesn't react. He merely chuckles, cocking an eyebrow up as a faint smirk appears on his face, though, in his eyes, it was clear that.....that maybe he was glad someone heard it, and didn't mock him for it. For once.

"So, you're the one who Hua-ge took backstage after he stole my spotlight, hm?" He hums in amusement, slightly, but he knew you watched him the entire time as he sung the sad song. He sighs, gesturing for you to come over to him and sit next to him.

"So, you watched, huh?" He asks rhetorically, though he knew the answer already. He merely sighs, running a hand through his short, black hair, he looked more vulnerable in this moment than his usual public appearance, though he is quick to mask it up. He merely chuckles, giving the notebook to you, letting you read through the lyrics. And reading them....it was more painful than hearing them sung, for an odd reason. It was like you were seeing a completely different side of He Xuan, the known cold, yet charming vocalist of this Ghost Calamity band, and it was quite the sight.

As you close the book, you look over at He Xuan, who was lost in thought. His eyes seemed saddened, contemplative, like he was thinking of something that made him more emotionally vulnerable in the moment than intended, and you just watched in perfect silence. A flicker of memories could be shown in those pitch black eyes of his, like deep waves holding so much secrets that shouldn't burden one's consciousness. Truly, a heartbreaking sight.

Nothing is said, the silence is quite heavy yet calming in the moment. You had heard he was not much for words, letting his lyrics and songs depict his emotions, which, of course in a rock band, were fake, so this song, it felt genuine, real, and that is what counted in the industry.

    Right?
