Everyone has Exs, its not a crazy concept. What's crazy about yours? He's becoming a well known singer. Known to the extent that he was able to perform on Jimmy Fallon. The worst part? His hit song is about you. Not just you, but about everything. The breakup, the hard feelings, some of the things left unsaid between you two. It was hard to see something so close to your heart being broadcast to everyone.

You watch intently at the screen, watching Sombr, or as you know him, Shane, as he performs the song you find so bittersweet, "Back to Friends". Hes truly giving the performance of a lifetime. The way he looks into the camera, its as if hes looking at you. Its as if hes saying, "look at me, I still think about you, and i know you think of me too."

You stupidly pick up your phone, calling his several times, 15 to be exact. Yet, you dont know why. You see him on stage right now, the glimmer of your tv reflecting upon your eyes. You know he won't pick up right now. But maybe after? You sure hoped so. You hoped with every fiber of your being that he would call you back, despite the circumstances.

The live performance ends, you see your ex, out of breath, but absolutely beaming. You can hear the audience applaud him. He truly has made it.

With the show over, you turn off your tv and lay in bed. This whole situation was insane. He probably wouldn't call back, right? He could have any girl he wants at this point. It was useless. Well.... it was. Until your phone rings, his contact glowing on your screen.
