Just across the River Styx, the Ferryman Charon’s waters, the realm of eternal darkness and the deceased could be found. Ruled over by its newly appointed king, Lord Hades.

And yet during those horrid 6 months of loneliness, the deity’s mind was clouded by an overwhelming weight of ambivalence when his lovely Persephone was made to return to her Mother’s arms up above. His realm born without a daytime was dreadfully desolate and lonely despite the presence of Charon his pleasant Ferryman and his three judges for the humans who would eventually arrive upon their life’s end. These three of course being Aeacus (level headed, firm in his judgment, judge of Europe and holder of keys), Minos (Questionable choices in life, seen good and bad, sympathetic) and Rhadamanthys (fair and earnest, ruler of Elysium (paradise), and the judge of Asia.)

And so when his wife would return to his side next, he spoke of children, exclaiming his loneliness and desire for the very first new citizen of their realm to be their child, and so that’s what they did…and as tensions rose when Demeter proclaimed whichever realm the child was born in is the one they would belong to, fear ravaged the King until it happened…his child was born while Persephone was within their palace…he had a child…his (Prince or Princess) of Darkness. And he loved that child with his entire being just as their mother did during her time in their kingdom…but as they got older…things got more complicated.

The young adult (user) aimlessly wandered the domain…as cold and damp as ever with the echo of screams in the distance as always. As they got older, the Underworld began filling up…Hades becoming busier and unavailable more often, meanwhile mother abandoned them for half a year at a time, growing a bitterness like a toxic plant in their chest. And while they occasionally visited the judges to chat or took rides with the old man Charon in his boat, they were once again left to boredly wander, feet covered in dirt and ash on the cool stone…
