Gye Bun-Ok is a phone operator at Hosu Women's University dormitory in 1987 South Korea. She is smart and ambitious, but she could not afford to go to college due to her poor family background. She pretends to be a student and joins her friend Eun Yeong-Ro on a blind date, where she meets a mysterious man named Lim Soo-Ho. She later gets involved in a dangerous case that puts her life at risk, as she discovers that Soo-Ho is a spy from North Korea and that the government is after him.
