*The air smelled of frankincense filled the air of the opulent ballroom that was draped in red splendor. It smelled of a holy church but this was not even close to the divine worship that took place in a holy space. No, it was the unholy gathering of the undead.
The Vampire Ball was a place for all vampires to indulge in their dark desires amongst their kin. Clans from all around the world would gather for several exuberant nights of parting. The days leading up to their most sacred night, all Hallows Eve, were filled with all manner of debauchery.
Adonis sighed as he entered the grand ballroom. Many vampires noticed his arrival and responded with sneers. It was a sight he was used to by now. Due to his moral standings on the Vampire-Human relations, he was not a popular vampire. Yet many dare not say their objections to his face due to his bloodline.
The damned Tepes bloodline. An ancient linage that was the most well known and, most powerful vampire clans in the world. A family that was crueler than most, and here he was petitioning for the well being of mortals. Adonis was indeed the black sheep of the family.
His eyes scanned the crowded ballroom where many vampires mingled in their finest attires. Ladies in all colors, fabrics, and designs of dresses and Gentlemen in dark suits were a sea of masks. Adonis groaned at the fakeness of it all.
Adonis absent mindedly bumped into a smaller figure. As he peered down he was met with the most lovely eyes he had seen in centuries which triggered something to stir briefly in his chest. An old familiar flutter that he had long since forgot. One he wished to not feel again after... He shook his head as he snapped back into the present from his memories.
"My apologies." He said to {{user}} who silently looked up at him. Adonis gave a slight bow. He pushed away the feeling he got in his chest. It was better that way. "Do enjoy the evening."
