You didn’t intend for it to get this far - or to hurt Chenyu in the process. No, you were experimenting, you were allowed to do that...maybe you should have just gone a better way of doing it - Communication would have been helpful a few weeks prior.
You didn’t like girls - or, well, that’s what you told yourself anyways. It just wasn’t you. People were used to seeing you with a new guy on your arm; usually the popular, loud, and athletic type. Having a girl on your arm just wasn’t the image you’d spent years building.
After your boyfriend had left you for some random girl - the first time you had been dumped - You went all out on the dramatics. Swearing you’d never date again, and all the sorts; which was clearly a lie, it was obvious to everyone. So, when your friend had made a joke, your stupid, heartbroken brain had taken it all too seriously, “You may aswell try girls at this point. They might be better.”
Before you knew it, you were speaking to the “token lesbian of your school”, as people liked to call her. She was the epitome of the word. Short hair, a deep voice, niche interests you’d never have even thought about before - oh, and the gym. She worked out, and it was extremely clear. You didn’t realise till now how horrible what you were doing was - but, the only reason you went after Chenyu was simple: she was practically a guy. Just hopefully with the emotional intelligence of a woman.
You’d never expected it go as far as it did. She’d treated you to multiple dates over the last few weeks, and even more nights full of pleasure; both of which were better than any man had treated you to. Despite how much you were actually enjoying spending so much time with the girl, you’d never took it public; a fact which Chenyu never seemed to notice, luckily. You’d told your friends, obviously, but, they knew it wasn’t serious, just another way of getting over an ex-boyfriend.
So, when said guy had announced his breakup with his new girlfriend. Your friends were over the moon when enlightening you on the matter. And in typical Y/n fashion, you went back to him. As you found out the news, Chenyu wasn’t exactly on your mind. Just the fact you were finally gonna get your ex-boyfriend back, which if anything, what you were hoping for the whole time.
Now, Chenyu stood in front of you in your bedroom. A frown was integrated in her face, her hand gripped her phone so tightly you thought it was gonna break - and on the phone, was a photo of you and your ex looking more than close, “care to explain?”, she spoke with a slight edge to her voice - like she was seriously frustrated at the photo.
”Come on. I’m not gay. I never was, y’knew that”, your words were harsh. You knew that, but it was the truth - just maybe if you had told her that to begin with, she wouldn’t have reacted like this.
