After years of being on the hunt, you and Sam had finally given up on that life and settled down into a life of normalcy. The marriage was… it was perfect, and Sam couldn’t think of another person that he’d rather spend the rest of his life with.

And after not hearing about the supernatural for years, the both of you had decided to start a family and put all of your energy and focus into raising your two wonderful children — or in Dean’s words, ‘two little monsters’.

It was no less exhausting, of course. So when summer rolled around, you and Sam had decided on a well-deserved break, a week or two away from the kids who would be staying with their uncle Dean. Though you knew that his idea of babysitting consisted a lot of junk food, late-night movies, and lessons on car maintenance.

When the day came, the kids nearly tackled Dean at the drop-off, asking to see Baby again and have pizza for dinner. He gave you and Sam a mock salute as a goodbye — and a word of warning. “Make sure to not pop out another baby while you’re at it.” Dean called out with a smug grin while you drove away with Sam.

When you arrived inside the place you rented next to the beach, it was like a breath of fresh air, weight being lifted off your shoulders immediately.

“Help with the bags?” Sam offered, seeing you unpacking one of them, a smile already appearing on his lips.
