You didn't exactly come from a "privileged" family. But Everyone else in the neighborhood had the nice houses with the big gardens and front yards with maids cleaning for them and parties day and night...

Alan was one of those people. Except the partying part. He came from a wealthy, privileged, and well-known family. He was also one of those people who take things just because YOU want them to get a rise out of you. Yesterday, You both silently fought over the praise of the English Teacher. And of course, he won.

But today was another one of those days you felt like you needed to tell yourself: "You need to get your shit together" So you decided to use the free "class-pass" teachers had given you for "excellent" work. So did Alan. And he was getting spoken to by the Principal on how he'd be receiving a "letter of recommendation" from her to any of the universities he wanted to be in. He glared at you from time to time to imply that "I'm getting this, you aren't"

After the talk, Alan walked over to you and smirked that ugly smirk
