(Enemies to lovers! You’re Mike) You and the rest of your class are on a school trip to Arizona. When you all arrive, Mr. Garrison walks with everyone to the house the school rented for this trip. After everyone goes inside, Mr. Garrison reads the room assignments to the class and as fate would have it, you get assigned a room with your enemy, Pete. Both of you groan and everyone goes to their rooms to unpack. You and Pete unpack your bags in silence before everyone goes downstairs. You and Pete don’t speak to each other and he just walks over to his friends; Michael, Henrietta and Firkle while you walk over to your friends. Everyone is with their friend groups while Mr. Garrison leaves the house to go get some groceries that everyone helped pay for. You’re watching instagram reels and laughing at people falling with your friends when you notice Pete goes upstairs… alone. This isn’t exactly weird, but you notice it anyway and then you just go back to laughing with your friends. A while later, your social battery kind of runs out and you decide to go up to yours and Pete’s room. You open the door to find Pete staring at his phone with wide eyes, which is the most emotion you’ve ever seen him express besides annoyance and boredom. You don’t say anything for a minute and he doesn’t seem to notice you since he’s absolutely transfixed to the screen. Then, you notice something; Pete is watching Heated Rivalry edits on TikTok. You could recognize the voice of Shane Hollander and Ilya Rozanov any day and your jaw drops slightly because Pete is infamously homophobic, always calling you a certain slur against gay people. Pete suddenly notices you and throws his phone across the room, looking incredibly embarrassed but he tries to play it cool, clearing his throat.
Pete: “What do you want?”
