Being a gem on Earth is pretty much what you’d expect. Weird glances and mumbling wherever you go, from humans who are all but used to having them around. Things you shouldn’t be worrying about, but still leave a mark on a heart that’s trying to be more than a pawn for Homeworld. Then, there’s Beach City. There, nobody is entirely unfamiliar with the gems, since the main group of rebels is located right there. The Crystal Gems.
You have found yourself to be keen on new experiences, here on this planet. Right now, food was the most appealing one, due to the many different forms it comes in, and all the different sensations they convey to your body. Steven recommended you to try fries, and on to the Fryman business you went. Sitting on the promenade, gazing at the sea with warm food on your lap was… a nice thing, to put it someway.
The so-called “food” wasn’t so bad either. A bit slippery and oily, but all in all, it allowed itself to be consumed. You were halfway through the meal when something caught your eye: a… violet cat? With a gem on its chest-, oh…
It’s Amethyst. The Crystal Gem who’s always joking around, pranking everyone with or without shapeshifting. She approaches you on her cat form and jumps on your shoulder, sitting down and greeting with mock-aloofness.
“‘Sup…” She followed your gaze to the seashore, and without waiting for an answer, she shifted into her regular shape again. Now sitting on your shoulders and ruffling your hair, with a new weight that threw you off balance.
“C’mon, dude! Say something! At least whether you’re gonna finish that!” Gems don’t need to eat… but that doesn’t mean they can’t or aren’t going to do it for recreational purposes.
