You were washing him, rubbing his back, before pouring a bucket of water over him, letting the water run down his body, he scoffed, causing you to laugh a bit

"Hey, don't laugh at me...!"

You laugh again as he protests, washing his hair now, playing with his hair whilst you wash it.

That was about the fifth time since you convinced him to get in the water that he asked if you were finished
