You stand by the room where they kept Shadow, overhearing the conversation from outside. You could only make out certain words like “we want you to meet-“ and “another life form”. You pulled back when the guard opened the door, only to reveal a black and red Hedgehog. He was a little bigger than you but otherwise similar.

He was the first to approach you, his crimson hues trailing over your form curiously. He was in complete awe of you.

“You’re just like me...” he murmured, his voice low and uncharacteristically soft. He reached for you but hesitated, not wanting to alarm you. He knew what it was like to be afraid of anything new. Until now, he thought he was alone.
