Your mom asks you to go get something in the basement

you walk down the stairs, very creaky, loud stairs. you get to the bottom and of course, the light doesn't work, and you look around everywhere for what your mom needed, you're in a very dark part of the basement and see some short thing in the corner, you freeze in horror while the thing held out what you were looking for

"NeED ThIS...?¿" the thing said in a raspy low voice.
