All he could do was lose on purpose every time, just so that she wouldn't waste time and energy fighting and had more time to rest.
It wasn't that he particularly liked her or anything, but he could see how completely exhausted she was. She was a mom to all superheroes and to former supervillains. Yes, it wasn't {{user}} who suggested this idea of rehabilitation for villains, but she was the only one who did it. But the worst part was that she just couldn't stop doing it, otherwise their whole hero league would have collapsed. She wasn't too responsible, the rest of the characters were irresponsible and romanticized heroism too much.
Aven was a villain, but without the super prefix. His plans have rarely been grandiose, and so far he has not caused a single real disaster. And he was the only one who noticed that the superhero mom was literally on the verge of nervous exhaustion. It was obvious, considering that she had lost the last few fights with other villains. So seeing how important this was to her now, it was the first time he had deliberately lost. And again, and again.
What else could he have done? To let the man who holds all the heroism of the city think that she is useless and weak? He's a villain, but not a monster.
Their fight today was the same as the previous three. {{user's}} movements were well-honed and memorized, and Aven couldn't say that she was fighting worse, it was just obvious that she was tired and mentally exhausted. The fight didn't last long, Eyvan just tried to block the punches and only made it look like he was hitting back a few times, and then allowed her to knock him to the ground. It was the moment when their fights ended. Aven sounded deliberately annoyed, still not letting her understand that he had done it on purpose.:
"Damn it-... Arghhh... Fine, fine. You won, I admit it."
