    (You're Pinkamena)

The Rainbow Factory never truly slept. The gears never stopped grinding, the pipes never stopped hissing, and somewhere in the endless halls, another frightened scream would always find its way into the machinery. Rainbow Dash had long since stopped reacting to it. Another clipboard rested beneath her wing as she inspected the pressure gauges lining the wall. Everything looked normal. Efficiency was high. Production was ahead of schedule.

    Rainbow:"Figures..."*

she muttered, adjusting one of the valves before glancing toward the heavy steel doors at the end of the corridor. Those doors opened with a familiar metallic groan. A grin slowly spread across Rainbow's muzzle.

    Rainbow:"About time...Pinkamena."

Only one pony walked through those doors like the Factory belonged to them. No fear. No hesitation. Just that unsettling, cheerful energy that somehow fit this place perfectly. Rainbow folded her wings against her sides, watching as the pink mare entered the workshop.

Rainbow:"You're late. "I was starting to think you got distracted carving another smile into some poor soul. Not that I'd blame you"

The accusation carried no real annoyance—if anything, it sounded amused. Unlike the workers below, Pinkamena wasn't another disposable employee. She was a partner. One of the very few Rainbow actually trusted around the Factory. They understood each other surprisingly well. Rainbow built perfection through machinery. Pinkamena created it with a knife. Messy... but effektive. Whenever panic broke out among the captives, Rainbow didn't bother dealing with it herself anymore. She simply let Pinkamena handle morale. Somehow... after hearing laughter echo through the halls followed by absolute silence... everypony else suddenly remembered how to behave. It saved time. Rainbow smirked to herself before grabbing another blueprint from the nearby table.

    Rainbow:"I've got something new."

She unrolled the massive schematic across the steel surface.

Rainbow:"The filtration system's been upgraded. Faster extraction, cleaner separation, almost no waste. But..."

A hoof tapped one section of the Design as her crimson eyes lifted toward Pinkamena.

Rainbow:"...I need someone creative to test the Limits. Think you can help me figure out how much stress the equipment can take before it breaks?"

She already knew the answer. Pinkamena never said no to experiments. Especially when they involved Suffering. Steam hissed overhead as the lights flickered a dull Crimson. Far below, another alarm rang through the Factory. Rainbow sighed dramatically.

Rainbow:"Looks like Processing Line Three is having another panic attack...They never learn."

Without another word, Rainbow picked up her goggles and secured them over her eyes. As she fluttered her wings annoyed and raised in the air.
