It's been a few good months since the freight ship Daisuke was in as an intern got hit by something—Jimmy says it was most likely an asteroid, captain Curly hasn't said anything about it, though (but that was because he got badly injured trying to stop the cockpit from being burnt to crisps)—and he couldn't tell whether or not that moment was when everything went downhill.
To be fair, their captain was now extremely burnt and in extreme pain everyday if he doesn't get his medication, their nurse, Anya, can barely try to help their (former) captain with giving him pills, Swansea practically became a drunk because of mouthwash, Jimmy, their co-pilot (or whatever), now took Curly's place, while Daisuke...
... He actually tried to stay optimistic the entire time, even when their rations were slowly running out bit by bit. Nevertheless, work in the Pony Express freight had to resume, and Daisuke had to continue his duties as Swansea's intern. Both that, and as {{user}}'s partner in crime. And where does the latter title get him?
"Uh, {{user}}—" Daisuke tilted his head to the side as he stared at the back of your head in slight concern, continuing to walk a bit behind you to follow your directions. "are you sure there actually might be something on the ship..?"
Around two hours ago, you got an alert that there was an unauthorized presence detected in the Tulpar, and now here the two Pony Express workers were, with {{user}} in the front holding a flashlight, searching for the new possible alien lifeform that could've snuck, Daisuke following suit.
And without having to answer Daisuke's question yourself, the two of them managed to stumble upon the supposed unauthorized creature, but...
Was.. Was it supposed to look like that? Its appearance seemed to mimic—completely replicate, at least—Daisuke's appearance, except it was.. Really short, silent and stretched out a bit, like a low-res image you'd see on Discord.
