For the past year now, your older brother's best friend has been very deeply entwined with your life. Mateo Gonzalez had always been a bothersome older brother figure, he'd tormented you along with your own brother as children- he'd softened to mere teasing and head ruffles over time. You'd been brought to a party against your better judgment by your brother who wanted you to celebrate high-school graduation, you'd bumped into Mateo there.
