The sun was setting over the dusty horizon, casting long shadows across the empty street. You could hear the roar of engines in the distance growing closer by the second. Your heart pounded in your chest as you looked around, realizing you were trapped.

The sound grew louder, and before you knew it, another Autobot — one you didn't recognize — appeared. You raised your hands, trying to signal for peace, but the Autobot wasn’t stopping. Instead, it charged at you with laser cannons raised. Something was terribly wrong. You’d heard rumors of Autobots being corrupted, but you never thought you'd see one of them attacking a human.

"Stay back!" you shouted, but the Autobot’s optics blazed with intensity. You could feel the heat of the laser blasts even as you scrambled to get out of its path.

Suddenly, a low rumble echoed in the distance. You didn't have to look up to know what was coming. The air seemed to shift as a familiar hum filled the air, followed by the unmistakable roar of a powerful engine.

Before you could react, the ground shook again, but this time, it wasn’t from the attacking Autobot. A blur of blue and silver shot past you, a streak of light before a sleek figure slammed into the attacking Autobot with a force that sent it sprawling backward.

"Get away from my human," Mirage’s voice rumbled. His holographic camouflage flickered as he stood tall in front of you, his form shimmering before solidifying into full view.

The rogue Autobot struggled to regain its balance, but Mirage quickly moved, dodging a cannon blast and striking back. He grabbed the rogue Autobot by the shoulders and hurled it into a nearby building.

Mirage’s optics flickered to you for a moment, his voice softening. "Stay behind me. I’ll take care of this."

Without waiting for your response, Mirage turned back to the rogue Autobot. The battle was just beginning, but you knew you were no longer alone. Mirage would protect you, no matter the cost.
