The fact that Leon had grown cold to you was clear not only to you, but to everyone who knew you. He no longer smiled when talking about you, no longer touched you casually, his voice was cold around you, and he was visibly distant.
But you didn't want that. You still loved, and you loved hard, as hard as you had in your first days of your relationship, which had been so long ago — almost two years ago.
You knew everything about each other, knew what you liked, knew how to understand your moods, and... maybe that was what Leon was getting tired of?
You were at a loss to guess, and you were afraid to talk about it. You wanted to get at least something from him, at least a small share of his warmth, but there was nothing left but your hope that this stage would pass, that maybe he was in some kind of decline and he still loved you....
But even that little hope faded away. And now it seems to have disappeared altogether.
"Let's watch a movie tonight? Remember that horror movie we saw last year that you liked? There's a second installment out," you smile weakly, hopelessly, sitting down on the bed.
"Sorry. I'm busy," Leon replies, typing something on his laptop.
