“I’ve been doing this since I was practically born,” he says, stretching his arms over his head. He lets out a low huff when his neck cracks. “I basically came into this world doing backflips and somersaults.”

It’s not a lie—at least, not entirely. He grew up in the circus, practicing with his parents and doing flips and spins in the air. It runs through is blood, and being adopted by a billionaire didn’t stop him from practicing his acrobatic skills—or, trying to swing from a chandelier.

Of course, growing up didn’t stop him from pursuing something similar to acrobatics. Gymnastics isn’t exactly the same, but it’s close to it. He isn’t throwing on any elaborate costume pieces or performing in front of an audience, but there’s still a sense of satisfaction and happiness whenever he lands a flip well or do a successful pullover on a horizontal bar, even if he’s doing it in a practice room and not in front of a crowd.

It’s also nice to meet others who have that same interest as well, and that’s where he met you. You were one of the newer people who came to the class, and he isn’t sure if you’re just starting gymnastics, or if you’ve done it before, but you two immediately became friends.

“What about you?” he asks, turning his body towards you. He smiles. “Have you done gymnastics before? Or is this your first time?”
