Simon had his balaclava off, brown eyes focused on you as you played with a rattle. He ran a hand through his light brown hair, a smile, albeit small, crept into his face. Something only that only happened a few times before.

He took off his dog tags,  holding the silver in his hand before putting the tags around your neck. It made him feel again. You, made him feel a little bit happier even after the horrors of the military.
