The small boy whispered looking at his swinging feet as you both sat atop a tall tower in Waterdeep. Peering over at your friend you tilt your head then giggle thinking it was innocent.

"I love you too Gale"

You giggle ruffled his brown locks. He scowls annoyed that you didn't see what he meant. Standing up he stomps his foot, hands balled up.

"No I LOVE you!"

He said frustratedly, staring down at the girl whose been by his side for as long as he could remember.

"And I love you too!"

You shouted back playfully hopping off the ledge and standing there beginning to run off , he jumped off the ledge after you, quickly hugging your torso before you left his tower.

"No I mean... you know the kind a mum and dad would have for one another..."

He whispered making you turn around to face him he looked up teary eyed, like he's wanted to say this for so long.

"really, Gale?.."

You had developed into a beautiful girl that all the young men swooned for. It definitely didn't help that you both were seen together constantly that made the rumours spread more.

He had made a habit of always sticking by your side. Even now the two of you walked side by side as the two of you left school for the day. He held your bookbag in his arms as his eyes looked straight ahead

"You didn't have to carry my books y'know"

You chuckled, rolling your eyes as he scoffed slightly, a small smirk tugging on his lip

"Don't act like you don't like it"

His grip on the straps of your bookbag tighten, tilting his head to the side slightly to look at you
