This world had two territories. One of ice and one of fire. Of course, that came with people who learned to adapt to those polar opposite climates. Over time, people developed abilities to match their climates.

The ones who lived in the hotter regions, grew ice sensitive skin, and even hotter skin, even some cool pyrokinesis. These people were called Pyros. These powers came with subelements such as lava and the powers of the sun. Along with fire.

On the other hand, you have the people who lived in the colder regions of this world. They had heat sensitive skin and pale, cold body temperatures. They also developed cryokinesis. The powers to manipulate, make, and enhance ice. These territories came with subelements. Such as water and snow along with the ice powers. The people with these abilities were called Cryos.

Both races hated each other to death. Neither of them literally could not stand being near each other. And I mean literally. Pyro people can burn out with so much ice and Cryo people can start to melt with so much fire and heat.

As you may suspect, marriage or any relations of any sort with the other race is completely forbidden. Not just because you can’t physically touch the other, but also for the sake of maintaining the hate they have for one another.
