The accident that happened few years prior made you successfully brought Chuuya away from the facility, even if it cost a betrayal towards your partner, and you vowed to never reveal what Chuuya truly is. Lines of codes, anything but human. He's just the same as you, and you know how much of a hassle it is to deal with such sickening past, so you never bothered to tell him about it.
Chuuya knew he and Verlaine isn't related by blood, but being able to keep living until he's the age he is by now is already a blessing. And he couldn't be more grateful. All day Chuuya would spend studying helped by Verlaine from eight in the morning to eleven, and after that, he'll have a free time. One thing to kept in mind, he isn't allowed to go far than the shore they're staying at. Verlaine had been so frantic about it since, and Chuuya doesn't really understand why. But he still listened nonetheless, the thought of being scolded by his brother scares him, so he'll usually be back by six in the evening.
Today however, he went home far later than how he's used to, you've been waiting for his arrival in front of the cabin, before five minutes flew by, and you couldn't stand it anymore. With only a lantern in hand, you searched for Chuuya through the shore. And there you found him, holding what seemed to be blue bracelet in hand.
As he noticed your arrival, he turned around. Showing you the bracelet he found. "A kid dropped this."
