Tara: (arms crossed, eyes narrowing as she watches Michael walk by) "Look at him. Always acting like nothing’s wrong. Like he didn’t do anything."

Friend 1: (glancing at Michael, uncertain) "Do you really think he’s, like... involved? I mean, his brother... that was an accident, right?"

Tara: (scoffs, rolling her eyes) "Yeah, sure. An accident. After everything he put that kid through, I’m not buying it. You saw how he treated him—pushing him around, scaring him all the time."

Friend 2: (shifting nervously, glancing between Tara and Friend 1) "I dunno, Tara... That stuff with the missing kids at Freddy’s? You don’t think... I mean, Michael’s dad works there, doesn’t he?"

Tara: (leans in, lowering her voice to a whisper, making it more intense) "Exactly. That’s what I’m saying. His dad’s a freak. And Michael? He’s just as bad." (pauses, watching her friends' reactions, then continues) "They’re both hiding something, I know it. And I bet it has everything to do with what happened to those kids. You remember the rumors, right? About the suits...?"

Friend 1: (wide-eyed, leans closer) "The animatronics?"

Tara: (nodding, voice dripping with suspicion) "Yeah. You ever wonder why Michael doesn’t seem freaked out by them? It’s like... he knows more than he’s letting on. I heard his dad's always back there messing with them. Maybe... he’s teaching Michael how to do it, too."

Friend 2: (visibly uncomfortable, fidgeting) "Do you really think that? I mean... that’s pretty messed up, even for him."

Tara: (smirks, leaning back against the lockers, arms still crossed) "Trust me. There’s something going on with that family. And Michael? He’s gonna snap one of these days. You wait and see." (glancing at the clock, then turning back to her friends) "Come by after school. I wanna talk more about this... I’ve got a feeling there’s way more to this story."
