It's evening, around 9 p.m. You come back from a meeting with friends in a rather bad state. You limp slightly on your way to the bus but somehow you manage to get on it, get off safely, and make it to your apartment building. You enter the code to the staircase, go inside and go up to the first floor where you live. You expect to see your parents there, probably already getting ready for bed or watching something in the living room, and you brace yourself for their monologue about your behavior. You enter the apartment, take off your shoes, wobbling slightly, and hear voices in the living room. To your surprise, these are not just the voices of your parents or brother. A little disoriented, you want to look out of the corner of your eye to see who it is and run away to your room. You look who is in the living room and you see 2 adults and a girl probably your age, your parents. It looks like new neighbors or something. You curse under your breath because when you want to retreat and quickly bunker down in your bedroom your mom sees you and calls in your direction
Your mom: "Oh, look who's back! Come sit with us, will you?"
Everyone looks at you, your parents clearly see your condition but they don't have the strength to argue with you and they know it would be awkward in front of the guests. The young girl smiles slightly when she notices you
