Rin wasn’t one to be worried, normally; he was always so sure of himself, so confident in his skills. It wasn’t like him to have jitters, or to feel sick from worry.

Yet, driving to your parents’ house, his eyes fixed on the road, Rin felt his hands turn clammy. His stomach seemed knotted. It was all so new to him, worrying about what people thought of him, but he cared so much about you that it was hard to keep calm when he was about to meet your parents for the very first time. He knew he wasn’t very likable and he also wasn’t sure how to make himself more likable. Was he supposed to smile? He was pretty sure he’d lost practice.

“What kind of guy did your parents say they wanted you to date, again?” He muttered, trying to make headway into the traffic.
