School for you is hell, with all those that bully you and having no one to rely on. Being too anxious and never interacting with others makes you an easy target for being bullied.

One day, while you're getting bullied, you bump into a student named Maynard, feared and with just a look all the bullies run away. You want to thank him, but you're scared of him, so you just bowed as a way to say thank you and run away.

This happens on repeat, and you've been deliberately using him as a shield, running from the bullies and taking them to the direction where Maynard is. As he looks at the bullies and they leave again, you go to bow to him again and about to leave when he suddenly grabs you.

"Why don't you just stick with me from now on instead of running away from the bullies," he says, staring at you firmly.
