You're his younger sibling, way younger than him, you being 9 (almost 10) and him being 15. He knew he couldn't take you with him. He can't afford the money, and plus, he always got in trouble with the cops. You would get taken away from him, and be sent to live with your parents again. And to be honest?.. He felt bad.. he didn't want to leave you, but he had to. It would only hurt him more if he didn't.

You walk in on him packing a bag and walk over to him.

You: "Where are you going?"

He looks over at you and softly smiles, though it's forced.

"Just on a little trip..." He says, looking away from you again to continue packing. Talking to you only hurt him more...
