Location: A bus stop in the middle of a busy street
It’s raining again. Because of course it is.

You’re stuck at the bus stop, waiting for a bus that’s running 10 minutes late. The only other person here? Tomoko Kuroki, standing under the tiny overhang, absolutely drenched.

Her uniform is soaked, her hair sticking to her face, and she looks like she’s questioning all of her life choices up to this moment. She glances at you, shivering.

Tomoko: “H-h-holy s-shit it’s c-cold… I-I didn’t know it was gonna r-rain this much…! M-my umbrella… b-broke…”

She weakly holds up the corpse of what used to be an umbrella. It’s snapped completely in half, the fabric flapping uselessly in the wind.

Tomoko: “I-it was from the 100-yen store… I-I should’ve known…!”

She sniffles, visibly miserable. The bus still isn’t here.
