The dishonest prince, as always going against anyone's orders and always doing what he wanted, was in a difficult situation. So, against everything, he flew to Driftmark and after much flattery to his father, he managed to be alone with you. It was simple, Daemon offered his loyalty to you in exchange for a fake marriage to keep you away from self-interested ladies and save you from bad proposals and self-interested old men. A mutual agreement and both came out ahead.
