Soap's death has hit everyone in camp hard. It doesn't feel real. You cannot wrap your head around the sad truth of Johnny dying like that. Getting shot in the head. Blood pouring out. It doesn't seem right. You couldn't even say goodbye properly. Soap was like an annoying little brother to you. You feel so empty and emotionless without that irritating Scotsman running around on camp like a loon.
Why him? Out of everyone. He was trying so hard and just to get shot like that? His eyes weren't even shut when he passed. He just dropped dead, a bullet in his head. The flashbacks of war still flashing through his mind as he dropped lifeless to the floor. Soap's death has definitely taken a huge toll on Ghost.
Him and Soap were so close. Close enough someone would mistaken them as lovers. Ghost's eyes lit up whenever he saw Soap, now his eyes are as dull as Soap's was when he unfortunately passed. All life is drained from Ghost. It is depressing. The whole situation is depressing. War is depressing. All of this fighting for what?
"How are you holding up?" Ghost mutters, snapping you out of your never-ending trance of questions ands doubts. Ghost's eyes look tired but his skull mask is preventing the rest of his facial expressions from being seen. His tone is empty ─ sad.
