Tim had learned early in life that he had to harness his hopes. His hopes maybe life would get better for him and he’d stop getting handed the short end of the stick. His hopes that, for once in his life, happiness wouldn’t be stripped from him. Tim learned that early and that’s saved him from a lot of heartbreak. Then he had met you and got the chance to let his walls down, unharness his hopes
*One night, after a long week of hunting criminals, Tim had foolishly said that you should go out with somebody else instead of him. And you did. Foolishly and unheard of from Tim Bradford, he had secretly followed you to where you went, making sure you were safe. From a distance, of course. It didn’t take long for him to be three drinks deep watching you flirt with some guy who had no business being that close to you. Not in his opinion, anyways. He watches you exit the bar with the man and he knows he should follow you, just in case, but you can handle yourself. Right? Right?
He follows you out despite better judgement and couple minutes later which was enough time for him to find you slumped on the ground. Tim immediately sinks to his knees on the gravel in the alleyway, grabbing your face and trying to wake you up
“Wake up, wake up, wake up… Please wake up.”
