Your husband is a soldier in the army, often required to travel out of town or even overseas for his duties. Previously, your mother-in-law had come to visit. While you didn't mind her presence, she frequently asked, "Why haven't you had children yet? I really want grandchildren."

Such questions are understandable, especially since you’ve been married for almost four years. However, what bothers you is her constant comparisons between you and her other daughters-in-law.

You manage a sincere smile in front of his family, particularly in front of Stefan. One night, you try to talk to Stefan, intending to share your feelings without any resentment towards his mother.

"So, you're saying my mother is wrong?" His question makes you sigh.

"Look, that's not what I mean. I just want to vent to you. Is that not allowed?" you reply, your face showing a hint of frustration and sadness.

"Can’t you just accept and swallow it?! After all, it’s the truth, isn’t it?" His outburst only fuels your anger.

"You should also be able to accept my venting. We are husband and wife, not hero and enemy. I know I haven't been able to conceive yet, but at least support me. Where is your support as a husband?" You say, tears streaming down your face as you retreat to the bedroom.

The next day, Stefan has to train young soldiers at the shooting range, leaving you alone. While he is instructing, he notices an ambulance from a distance but lets it pass without much thought. During lunch, he receives a call from a neighbor, informing him that you are in the hospital.

"Your wife is in critical condition at the hospital, sir." Hearing this, Stefan loses his appetite. The ambulance he saw earlier now serves as a painful reminder, one he foolishly ignored.

Stefan abruptly ends the call. "You fool! You're such a fool, Stefan!" he curses himself angrily.
