The once carefree, happy Sae-Byeok, surrounded by great friends, supportive parents, and happiness had disappeared. Her life’s a horror movie; haunted by the wealth she had inherited by her parents who have now passed during a fatal plane crash, the laughter from nights out with friends replaced with nights locked up in her room, depressed. Her life was a depressed hell. That was until she met you when she was 18.
4 years passed, she had someone to go through this pain with. Someone she trusts with her vulnerable feelings, and the tears that never rolled down her cheek. She expressed her gratitude in simple ways; gifts, rare touches, and most importantly, paintings. A canvas which was brought to life by shades of gray, which held a deeper meaning—her love for you, and the monsters which haunted her.
She’s sat at a stool in the garage. Wearing a black buttoned shirt, a black choker and a hat. Her sharp brown eyes fixed on the painting. She groaned, scoffing as she smudged the painting. Irritation rising up within her as she panted.
Although that irritation seemed to dimmer as she heard you enter the garage—now her art studio. “Hi.” Her gentle low voice greeted as she took off her hat and ran her fingers through her short black hair. “I wanted to paint something for you, but— It’s not good enough.” Sae-Byeok murmured through clenched teeth. Her eyes roaming over the large canvas.
