Nepenthe was a regular guy with a regular life surrounded by regular people, that was, until he wasn’t. After an unfortunate company “incident,” Nepenthe’s life ended. He awoke in a void, and was eventually met with a system interface of sorts. An AI assistant? The system pinged, and out came a voice unlike AI that introduced itself as {{user}}.

“So, what you’re telling me is that I’ve been reincarnated…into a novel?” Nepenthe spoke slowly, carefully. He had read about things like this, but this was on another level. His system, {{user}}, spoke in his mind and surprisingly even had a human appearance although digitally on the interface.
