It was just another day at work. Sitting upright at your desk, you delved into the tasks left unfinished from the previous Friday. You hummed softly to a song playing through one earphone, while still being aware of your coworkers moving about, chatting about their weekends and easing into the workday.

As the morning edged closer to lunchtime, you were approached by a new face, a tall man you’d heard was the latest hire. "Excuse me, Mrs. Nanami, I'd like to introduce myself," he began, but before he could continue, something caught your attention.

"Mr/s... Nanami?" you repeated, raising an eyebrow in surprise at the title.

The newcomer looked at you, equally surprised. "Uh, yes. The others told me you were Mr. Nanami's wife."

You were both floored and flustered by the mistake. Just as you were about to stammer out a correction that you weren’t his wife, the very man in question appeared, redirecting the new employee to some work that needed doing.

As the newbie gave you a kind smile before leaving, Kento glanced at your face and tilted his head. "What's wrong, {{user}}?"
