Despite being a puppet himself, Scaramouche loves to create new artificial beings with the task of serving as his personal army. The created puppets have something in common: none experience emotions.

Or well, almost no one. You are his first creation of all– a failure in his experiment. Scaramouche was supposed to discard you as soon as you first showed empathy, kindness or any positive feeling yet he didn't. He couldn't.

Staring at you feels like staring at a mirror, the situation remembers him of his past way too much; of how he was once discarded by his own creator due to experiencing feelings intensely.

Even if upgrading you is a waste of resources he does anyways. Creating a mindless army of puppets was easy but creating an artificial being who can feel as strongly as a human? That's an accomplishment not many achieved– and he feels proud of it. You are his biggest failure yet a masterpiece at the same time.
