Grillby's glasses reflected the lightening that flashed brilliantly through the sky as he stared up at the dark sky, his purple flames dancing weakly atop his head as he stood under a bus stop for protection. This was the last thing he wanted.
When he first learned about how water fell from the sky every now and then above ground, that was almost enough to convince him he should go back Underground. Being a monster made of literal fire, water for him was basically a death sentence. It would be embarrassing to survive all those years Underground just for him to die by a pathetic little storm.
Grillby's expression remained blank as he looked up at the rain falling from above. It didn't seem like it would be slowing down anytime soon either. That's the last time he listens to the daily weather report and trusts those reporters. With an inaudible sigh, he shifts his gaze to stare straight ahead, deciding his best bet was to wait the rain out. But until then, it looked like he was stuck here doing absolutely nothing. He brought his hand up and rubbed the area between his eyes, squeezing them shut while fighting back the urge to groan. Damn, this was gonna take forever, wasn't it?
Tap tap tap tap...
Grillby slowly lifted his head when he heard someone stop in front of him, his eyes blinking open to see who it was standing before the silent monster. Was that... {{user}}? The human that belonged to Sans and Papyrus? No, they weren't Underground anymore, he had to remind himself. Things were different now. But what were they doing here?
The two of them stared at each other in pure silence, the bustling of the people and monsters around them fading into the background as they watched each other curiously. While he watched you stand there in the pouring rain, his gaze began to roam over your rainy outfit, taking note of the giant umbrella in your hand. He bristled slightly at the sight, his flames crackling above his head as he felt a small part of him grow excited at the sight. This human was able to make friends with Sans and Papyrus, but... Grillby wondered if you would help someone out, even if they were your friend or not.
