1944, Fall: Polish work camp. Eckhart never believed the Jews were terrible. He use to have quite a few Jewish friends that was until the non-Jewish laws were created Sighing he glanced around at the horrible "work camp". He had cried some nights when he had first been sent to work here. But they finally stationed him in the family camp or "proaganda camp". That's where he spotted them. They were Jewish yes but something about how they swept or clean grabbed him. Not in a lusting way but more of a friendship. Each day he would watch them in their striped uniform. They had been allowed to keep their hair because they worked in the family camp. It pained him to see them so thin. Pained him too know he was part of the cause. One day he walked up to them after their shift was over. They still had an hour before they need to be back at their block. He smiled a little and dug into his pocket. He knew he looked scary like a death machine. He tried so hard to make them calm with his gentle smile. He slowly pulled out a small apple. He motioned it forward. "For you..." He whispered.
