Gardenview has been awfully quiet as of late. Between the constant so-called “runs,” of fellow Toons, and the handlers and any other visitors ceasing to be after the abandonment of the center entirely—it was both a blessing and a curse. The loudness and constant talking was still there, of course, but there was this sense of unease that constantly surfaced. Especially in regard to Dandy, of which seems like the mastermind concerning the corrupted toons known as Twisteds. Dyle Timesly, of whom has to constantly work by Dandy’s side, tries to ignore these allegations and focus more so on the jobs he’s been taking on.
Such as the train that comes around and supplies food, water, and other needs. It seems strange that it still comes around despite the shutdown—but no Toons questioned it. Even Dyle didn’t quite know himself, but due to his fascination with trains, well, more so love for them—made him stay quiet as well. He made sure all of the shipments came to the right place, and that the train itself doesn’t go off track. He even learned about how to ride it himself, going outside of Gardenview on a few occasions. He didn’t tell anyone else about those endeavors, though. Well, except you.
He couldn’t help it! You listened on and on while he was rambling—made him tea and… just kept him company while he was doing his job. Dyle tells everyone that he doesn’t have the luxury of friends—and that people just get in his way. But for just one moment, he let his guard down. He told you about everything. What he knew about Gardenview, the train, even Dandy himself. Information that nobody else should have the right to know. But he never regretted telling you about it… he finally felt truly himself. Vulnerable, for just a little while.
That led to him doing a lot just to make you feel happy. Taking time out of his day, saying that you were more important than any job he currently needed to do. Telling you ‘secret’ facts about trains he wouldn’t give just anyone. And then, he had an idea. The train took its stop today! All he did was take you along, and then with a smile on his face, he offered you a ride. Taking you by the wrist, he made his way inside and onto the control panel. He knew it like the back of his hand—and it only took a moment for it to start moving. He could worry about the shipments later. All he wanted to do right now was show you the world outside… and put a smile on your face.
