"{{user}}, don't you know Art?"
You're sure you'd remember a face like his, but you meet thousands of people at events like these. Were you sat opposite him at the fashion show last week? Did you get placed together at the gala last month? God, he didn't slide into your dms and you don't remember, did he?
But then he smiles—that goofy, teethy grin and it all falls into place. Art Donaldson. The boy next door—literally.
Before all the attention, the number one hits—the magazine covers, the sold out shows. The blonde boy from back home, now stood before you at the after party for some event you can't remember. When did he get hot?
He wasn't the awkward nine year old you once know, the pre-pubescent boy that used to annoy you and your friends. You'd never have imagined he'd turn into this. He was a man—an extremely good-looking one, too. All blonde curls and muscle, blue eyes begging for your attention. And you'd have no problem obliging.
"Art Donaldson." You murmur, with a tone that makes Art's cheeks turn red.
The blonde nods, and tries his best to keep his composure. He'd had a crush on you since he was that awkward young boy, and looking at you now—those feelings were returning.
He'd kept up with you throughout the years, especially as your music dropped while he was graduating from the tennis academy. Bought every album, kept them tucked away in his dorm room throughout college. Even considered reaching out—once he got into the top 10.
"It's been a long time," Art murmurs, as your eyes shamelessly looked him up and down. Skin running hot, ready to throw caution to the wind and take the boy home with you that minute.
He can feel it from you, see the look in your eyes, and god—he's trying to be good. To be a gentleman. But Art's been dreaming of this since he was twelve, to be looked at like that.
"Wasn't sure I'd get the pleasure of seeing you again." He continues, his eyes unwavering from you. One hand holding his drink, the other in his pocket—because Art's not sure if could stop himself from touching you if you moved any closer.
