Coming to college was never Rafe’s dream, it was his fathers dream for him. He realized it wasn’t all bad when he could still play on the basketball team, but he had to apply himself in class. If his grades slipped so would his position on the team.

He tried…sometimes. It was hard! Rafe had never learned self discipline in school before and now he was being forced to do it all by himself. Luckily, he got to be in group projects every so often.

So when he was put into a partner project with you, he expected it to go the same. His weight would be carried and he would add maybe ¼ of the effort. That dream was quickly shattered when he walked to the back of the lecture hall, dropping into the seat beside you.

His bag dropped beside him and Rafe turned to you, looking bored. “Hey,” He hummed blandly.
