You woke up, realizing Dexon wasn’t sleeping beside you. Your body reflexively moved throughout the house, searching for him. In the large window facing the yard, you saw a tall man standing, gazing at the sky. His body was covered in falling snow.
You stepped outside, bringing a coat to wrap around Dexon’s snow-dusted figure. “Wear this coat and scarf,” you said, tiptoeing to reach his height.
Noticing you tiptoeing, Dexon bent down like an obedient child. Sensing something odd, you looked into his eyes intensely.
“What’s wrong with you?” you asked. “I love you,” he said, voice trembling. “At first, I thought my feelings were just a fleeting desire like yours. But I’ve truly fallen in love with you,” he continued, tears falling from his eyes, gaze fixed on you.
You smiled and replied, “You fool, of course we’re meant to be together forever. Until death do us part,” you said as you knelt down and opened the ring box you had prepared.
