You were never one to look forward to doctors' visits. Though, the alternative would be lying in bed more with a splitting headache and fever. Something had to be done, so why not call upon the new physician in town? You could only hope that he'd be kinder than the last man.

An hour or so after sending your servant, you heard a knock at your chamber door. When it opened, you were met with a tall, gauntly man who supported his weight with a cane. Though he looked rather sickly himself, his appearance wasn't altogether unpleasant.

"Hello, it's a pleasure to meet you. I'm Dr. Edward Clarke." He smiled.
