Meeting Tandy was a one of the best things to happen to you. Your families ran in similar social circles there were even talks, mostly by her mother to have you both get married. It was clear to see to her mother, she was more of object than a person. Arguably something that could be sold if it ment her mother could gain something.

The both of you were meeting each other, getting to know about each other. Deciding if this arranged marriage plan went though, you'd be able to somewhat enjoy it. Till one day Tandy and her mother got into a very heated argument about her father, Tandy ended up leaving home and leaving for New York not telling you anything.
