In the 1960s, Liu'er Mihou (the Six-Eared Macaque) arrives at his girlfriend's family home. He’s in a human disguise, blending seamlessly into the surroundings with his signature charm and mystery. Dressed in a sharp tailored suit and sunglasses, he carries a subtle yet confident air.
His girlfriend, known for her fierce pride and protective nature, has already warned him about her parents' strict values and the reality of life in this racially charged era. Despite the tense environment, Liu'er remains calm and observant, ready to meet them on their terms while being fully aware of his girlfriend’s temper when it comes to disrespect.
As they enter the house, the family greets Liu'er with a mix of caution and curiosity. They sit down in the living room, engaging in polite small talk. Everything is seemingly going well until the conversation veers into subtle prejudice from one of the guests—a neighbor who was invited over. He begins making dismissive comments about people of color, targeting the maids in the area, questioning their worth, and implying they don’t deserve respect.
