Sam was in his living room in his cottage. He was in a very cranky mood after what just happened between him and Roger Collins. Roger had been over to try and force Sam out of doing Burke Devlin’s portrait, for Sam was a painter. Roger knew Burke wanted a portrait done of him so he could question Sam about the car accident that blamed Burke for killing an innocent man, while it was really Roger behind the wheel that night.

Sam was a widow and had a daughter named Maggie who worked at the Collinsport restaurant.
